I have neglected this blog for too long.
I had set this up so that I might share my thoughts on the writing process, the books I was reading, and perhaps even random thoughts on culture, history, and mythology.
But every time I think about sharing my thoughts, I worry that the words on the page will not reflect the power of the ideas—or capture the beauty of the images—in my head. And then I think of the title of book that has long lain on my to-read pile, Patrick Rothfuss’s The Wise Man’s Fear.
And I wonder: is the writer’s great fear that the words on the page won’t match the images in his head?
It is time to face that fear.
It is time to write.
